The Cactus Theater was first constructed in 1938, and was a second-run motion picture theatre in Lubbock until May 6th, 1958. In January 1993, the Theatre was reopened by businessman and musician Don Caldwell. The new Cactus Theater features 720 seats, washed-air cooling equipment and a 750 food neon lit marquee.
